JEE

JEE Main 2019 Syllabus is one of the crucial points is that the student should be familiarized with before preparing for JEE Main along with its exam pattern. Once these two are available, it becomes easier to prepare. JEE Main is a national level exam which is conducted by CBSE for the candidates who wish to get the admission in BE / B.Tech, B.Arch / B.Plan in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and several other institutions. JEE Main consists of questions from subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

One of the questions which students usually ask is If the syllabus for Class 12th and JEE Main is similar? Read below to get the answer to your query.

Yes, JEE Main Syllabus is usually similar to that of CBSE Class 12th Board or any board following NCERT books. The questions are vastly from NCERT. So, if the student is preparing for the board exam, it is advised to keep your concepts clear, it will further help you in various JEE Entrance Examination. Most of the engineering entrance examination covers the syllabus of Class 11th and 12th. The content of the JEE Main Syllabus may slightly differ from State Board but if you are well prepared for your board exams, cracking the JEE Mains 2019 wouldn’t be much difficult.

Twist in the tale for JEE Main Aspirants

As per the newspaper reports, the CBSE will no longer be conducting JEE Main 2019. CBSE conducts various entrance examination and board exams as well. With limited staff and the responsibility of lakh of students, the CBSE will be relieved from their responsibility of conducting the entrance examination. So, the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cleared a proposal on Friday, November 10, 2017, for the creation of a National Testing Agency.

With the creation of NTA, various changes are expected. For example, the entrance exam may be conducted twice a year under NTA. This will be implemented considering the completion among students. With JEE being conducted twice a year, every candidate will be given equal opportunity.

Also, there are chances for the change in exam pattern and JEE Main Syllabus under NTA. There will be a lot new for JEE Main. How much beneficial will be the creation of NTA, can only be said once it comes into action.

Let’s once have a look at the tentative schedule for JEE Main 2019

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a national level exam. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts it to fill UG engineering and architecture seats in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. The all India rank of JEE Main is also accepted by private and government colleges across the nation. Every year, more than 11 lakh candidates appear for the exam in the month of April.

JEE Main will consist of Paper 1 and 2. The Paper 1 will be held for B.Tech  and B.E admission, whereas, through Paper 2, candidates will be getting admission in B.Arch and B.Plan courses. There is a possibility that JEE  will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and not CBSE. NTA is expected to amend the exam a little. No official statement has been made so far but reports suggest that JEE Main will be held twice a year and probably only in online mode. Candidates preparing for JEE Main  can check latest updates, eligibility criteria, syllabus, preparation tips and more details from this page.

Aadhar Card Mandatory for JEE Main : Keep Aadhar Card Ready if you don’t already have one.
